Here's the woman that has my heart aching down here in Christchurch. Why did I agree to come here without her, even if it's only for three weeks. I know I sound like a baby, but I miss her.OK, I am here now. I am renting a room that is a separate building off a house that has other people renting rooms. There are four other people in the house that I share the kitchen, bathroom, and living room with - a 22 year old world travelling German guy, a 20 something Cree Indian girl from Sascachewan, and a young married couple from France. The house is old and a little rough. It feels like an old house rented in college in Cheney. It will be good for the two months or so we're there.
I need to get my IRD (tax) number so I can get a bank account going. I think we'll wait on getting a car until we'll get things more settled as far as jobs and our final living arrangements. A bike might be in order though. The house is pretty close to the central downtown area.
I'll post some pictures when I find an internet cafe that will let me. I haven't taken any yet either.
Later all,
mark
